Formal Foundation
The Oromia Regional Islamic Affairs Supreme Council was formally founded to coordinate and strengthen Islamic affairs across the region.
1987 EC
Institutional Recognition
The council entered a new phase of organized administration and expanded structure under the Ethiopian Calendar timeline.
2005
Educational Expansion
Launched comprehensive Islamic education programs and established partnerships with religious schools and institutions.
2012
Community Services Scale-Up
Expanded community support services including Zakat distribution, marriage counseling, and social welfare programs.
2020
Digital Transformation
Introduced digital services for mosque registration, event management, and online religious guidance services.
